About Perla Mabel L.

Visual Artist based in Boston studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. 

My art are the words I cannot speak. My work is a lens into the life of others or, in some cases, a reflection. As an artist I want to tell stories, specifically the story of my world—which is self reflection, family dynamic, the figures. and also to raise social awareness by focusing on our shared human experience.  Representation through visual art helps multiply & echo the resonance of my lived experience of community without speaking, or being located in just one moment. That’s what drawing, painting & photography allow me to communicate.
